Chef Homaro Camtu is the creative force behind the menu, as well as a scientist behind the scenes. Cantu uses technology like Class IV lasers and liquid nitrogen to create reinvented or outright transformations of classic dishes. The menu consists of a 15 course tasting menu, guiding you through an exploration of everything from scrambled eggs to Mexican cannelloni. New to the Passport program is Armondo’s in Renton. Armondo’s specializes in personal service, a great family atmosphere and exceptional menu items that are prepared consistently using only the highest quality ingredients. On the menu, you’ll find favorites like Veal Piccata, Prawn Palermo and Lasagna. The atmosphere is cozy, decked in warm colors features unique hand blown glass fixtures. Cork Restaurant was born from the shared passion of co-owners Robert and Danielle Morris to allow their guests the opportunity to sample multiple dishes, in a format reminiscent of a tasting menu, but served in an “a la carte” style. The duo opened Cork with a collective twenty five years of experience in the hospitality and restaurant industry. Today, Cork is well known for their unparalleled wine list (a 21 page masterpiece) and their creative list of small plate choices. Small plates feature primarily carnivorous choices, although vegetarian selections are available by request. Standouts include Prime Beef Roulade, Pan Roasted Japanese Mero and Chilled Lobster Salad. Stop by for a glass of wine and a some small plates to share for the perfect meal.
